Code of Conduct
Film It! recognises that groups and individuals can be discriminated or misrepresented on grounds of race, gender, ability, age etc.

At Film It! we aim to redress discrimination and stereotyping through access to employment, training and positive and inclusive representation in all our work.

Our aim is always to highlight best practice and produce quality films that advance and improve communication within our society.

 

To achieve this Film It! aims:

• at all times to offer participants informed choices and full consultation in the work we do.

• to respect the rights and confidences of all those involved

• to work towards our commitment to equal opportunities within the organisation

All participants on a Film It! project:

• Will be told the purpose of the film and where it is likely to be used.

• May ask for audio recording to be ceased at any time during the course of filming

• May ask for visual recording to be ceased at any time during filming

• May ask for the same during research interviews

• Have the right to view and request changes of all filmed and recorded material before the final copies are produced

• Have the right to view all footage that involves them whether this will be used in the final film or not

• Have the right to read all transcribed material that involves themselves

• May contact Film It! at any time with any complaints if they feel that any of the above have not been adhered to.
